I am a Community Liaison with the Felton Institute (Family Service Agency) and the San Francisco Marin Food Bank. These two non-profit organizations have been authorized by Calfresh Food Program to reach out to local churches and senior organizations throughout San Francisco to help inform their elderly members who may be in need of greater assistance during this period of quarantine. Many seniors are unaware of the services offered by the San Francisco Department of Aging and Adult Services and by various other local non-profit organizations.

The Felton Institute, along with the S.F. Marin Food Bank, are assisting seniors in applying for and acquiring benefits from Calfresh, California’s Food Stamp Program. Calfresh offers up to $194.00 per month to qualifying individuals. Qualification is dependent upon income and expenditures. The process is a simple one conducted through a brief telephone interview.

Your help in alerting your senior members to this program is needed and deeply appreciated. If you have any questions, please call me. My phone number is (415) 297-7492.

    Thank you.
